Prairie Center Facilities & Locations

Prairie Center offers services in three central Illinois counties: Champaign, Ford, and Vermilion. Our service reach, however, extends to anyone needing substance abuse treatment, regardless of location.

Champaign County

Champaign

122 W. Hill street Champaign, IL

Our Champaign location houses our inpatient residential services for adult men and women with drug and alcohol addiction issues. The downtown Champaign facility offers full food service, a living room, large group room spaces, and on-site client laundry facilities. Medical staff is also available 24 hours a day.

While you can walk in to this facility for questions or information, please note that to access residential or inpatient services, you must first (if necessary) complete supervised detoxification (click here to learn who offers these services). You must also have an assessment from our Danville or Urbana facility or have one from another provider.

To access residential services, start by calling 217-328-4500. Or have your mental health provider, court personnel, or physician refer you to us.

Urbana

718 W. Killarney, Urbana, IL

At Prairie Center’s Urbana location you’ll find a wide array of outpatient services to support both youth and adults in substance abuse recovery. We are conveniently located just off Interstate 74 at Lincoln Avenue and discretely located in a professional building. At this facility, we provide a number of services, including:

Staff supporting Champaign County Drug Court, Parenting with Love & Limits, and Fresh Start programs are all also located here. Our main administrative offices are also located in this facility.

To access services at our Urbana office, call 217-328-4500. Or have your employer, mental health, court personnel, or physician refer you to us.

Danville/Vermilion County

1222 Voorhees Danville, IL

At Prairie Center’s Danville location you’ll find a wide array of outpatient services to support both youth and adults in substance abuse recovery. We are discretely located in a professional building that is just east of the intersection of Voorhees and Bowman. In Danville, our staff can provide you with a range of services, including:

  • Adult and youth screenings and assessments
  • Individual and group counseling for youth & adults
  • Intensive Outpatient Program for adults
  • Drug Testing for youth & adult clients
  • Support Groups
  • Prevention and education programs for youth, workplaces, and the community
  • Residential inpatient services (located in Champaign)
  • Some specialized services as funding allows

Staff supporting the Vermilion County Drug Court program are also based in this office.

Services generally start with a confidential intake assessment to determine the services you need. These are done by appointment as well as on a first-come/first-serve walk-in basis on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you qualify for outpatient services, you’ll leave the assessment with a follow up appointment with a counselor. If you need inpatient services, we will help coordinate this for you.

To access services at our Danville office, call 217-477-4500. Or have your employer, mental health, court personnel, or physician refer you to us.

Ford County

While Prairie Center does not have a physical office or facility in Ford County, we do offer services to residents in the County. Staff travel to the area regularly to provide youth prevention and education services, to support the Ford County Drug Court program, and to provide assessment services. To access any of these services as a Ford County resident, you must first contact us at 217-328-4500 or contact@prairie-center.org.

Services for those in other locations

Our programs and services are not limited to those in Champaign, Ford, or Vermilion counties. Whether you’re from another area of Illinois or another state altogether, if you need substance abuse help, we may be able to help. Contact us confidentially at
217-328-4500 or contact@prairie-center.org to learn more.
