Financial Assistance

Prairie Center is pleased to participate with the Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS) in providing state financial assistance based on verifiable income and family size guidelines. Our financial staff will help determine your eligibility, which may help offset part of the cost of your care. If you are eligible, state-funded care pays the bulk of your treatment costs. However, please note that co-payments, lab work, physical exams, medications, breathalyzers, and urine screens are not covered by this program and are your responsibility. We have established co-pays for clients receiving assistance from DHS. We try to keep co-pays reasonable and affordable.

Prairie Center also has a sliding fee scale to assist clients who do not qualify for State assistance. To qualify, you must complete an application for financial assistance and provide all supporting documentation. If you are in ongoing treatment, eligibility for financial assistance must be re-established by contacting a financial representative any time family income or size change.
