Drug Court Addictions Counselor (Urbana)
The Counselor will work with clients and the Prairie Center team to provide assessments, individual, and group counseling to outpatient clients.
We seek someone with a solid client-centered approach to addiction treatment and recovery through past work experience and/or educational achievement as well as someone that brings Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) core therapeutic styles to their work.
A Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field is preferred. Must possess LPC, LCPC, LSW, or LCSW or show ability to obtain certification or license once hired. A Bachelor’s degree with CADC certification will also be considered. DUI certification is a plus. A valid driver’s license is also required. Job offer is contingent on a successful drug screen and background check.
Prairie Center offers a generous and complete benefits package including vacation, medical, dental, life insurance, and a 401K retirement plan. We are open Monday through Thursday 8AM - 8PM, and Fridays, 8AM - NOON. The candidate must have the ability to work 1 or 2 evenings a week.
