Director of Prevention & Education (Urbana)
Prairie Center, a nonprofit alcohol and substance abuse treatment and prevention center, seeks a full time Director of Prevention & Education working in our Urbana facility.
This position is a management position, reporting directly to the CEO. Supervise four program staff; develop and coordinate Prairie Center’s prevention and education programming in Champaign, Ford, and Vermilion counties; work with schools and other community organizations to grow prevention-oriented services and activities, including serving in a leadership role on local prevention coalitions; complete program evaluation; write, assess, and implement prevention program grants; manage the program budget; prepare required program reports; and provide prevention and education services as needed.
Master’s degree in Education, Community Health, Psychology, Social Work, or related field preferred. Minimum one year experience working in a related field is required. Bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3 years supervisory experience in the field may be considered. Position requires a valid driver’s license. Job offer is contingent on a successful drug screen and background checks.
