Case Manager: Responsible for providing treatment services to youth and their families using the Parenting with Love & Limits (PLL) model. Also co-facilitates group therapy sessions along with the family therapist. Candidates must have the ability to work 2-3 evenings a week. Case Manager works in the Bureau of Prisons Residential Reentry Center (RRC), and will report to the RRC Director. Provide direct case management services for Bureau of Prisons clients, including providing assistance in identifying housing, employment, medical, and other community resources necessary to facilitate a productive reentry into society for the reentering citizens. Also responsible for accurately and thoroughly completing all case management documentation; monitoring documentation to ensure participant compliance and accountability; working closely with other team members to monitor participant progress; and preparing required reports.

Attention to detail, initiative, and team mentality required. 4-year degree in a social, human services, criminal justice or behavioral science program from an accredited college or university required. Minimum 1 year experience working in human services, corrections, or community based services. Work experience may be substituted for academic studies exchanging 1 year of work experience in a related field for 1 year of academic education. Clinical Coordinator is a mid-level manager primarily responsible for assisting the Clinical Director in the day-to-day management of assigned programs within the facility; i.e. running team meetings, doing clinical supervision of staff, representing counseling programs at internal/external meetings as requested, and acting as back-up in the absence of the Clinical Director. A Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or related field is preferred. Must possess LPC, LCPC, LSW, or LCSW or show ability to obtain certification or license once hired. Supervisory experience a plus, as well as DUI certification. INTERNSHIP: E-Communications, Website & Social Media Intern: Prairie Center seeks a highly-motivated intern with demonstrated experience to align website strategies, e-newsletter communications, and social media tactics with strategies to engage, build, and improve relationships with existing and new stakeholders across our service region. We also seek to increase the cross-functional use and content of all online communications platforms (web, social media, and e-news).

Essential functions including assisting with maintaining the current website and helping with the design and construction of a new site, developing and assisting with a new e-newsletter, and assisting with social media activities. Audience cultivation, analytics review, and planning are also tasks to assist with.

We are looking for a motivated, self-driven individual with hands-on background and interest in online and social media-driven communications coupled with a passion for social change. Excellent writing skills and ability to think creatively and strategically. Candidates should be able to work and set priorities independently. This unpaid internship is expected to require about 8 hours/week. We seek someone for Summer 2017 or the Fall 2017 semester. The position can run for one semester, or more ideally a full school or calendar year. We encourage those interested to arrange for course credit if desired.

 * CHAMPAIGN, URBANA, AND DANVILLE *

Substitute Addictions Counselor Pool: Prairie Center is developing a substitute addictions counselor pool to work during extended absences of our current full-time counseling staff. This is an excellent opportunity for trained and licensed counselors who wish to work as needed on a short term basis. Individual and/or group counseling assignments can range from one week to several weeks depending on the length of absence needed to be filled.

A Bachelor's degree and CADC license are required. Master's degree in counseling and/or social work or related work experience is preferred. Successful background clearance is required through Department of Children and Family Services (CANTS) for all facilities and the Federal Bureau of Prisons (NCIC) if working in our residential facility in Champaign.

Candidates should familiarize themselves with the mission, purpose and values of Prairie Center and be able to provide examples of a client-centered approach to addiction, treatment, and recovery from past work experience or educational achievement.

Work hours are typically 8AM-5PM Monday-Friday with possible evening group activity depending on assignment. Paid training is provided on Prairie Center electronic notes system. Assignment pay rate is $60 for any part of 4 hours and $120 for any part of 4 to 8 hours.
